The Audi Coupe model was built on the basis of the Audi 80 . It was produced in two generations under the designations "B2" (Typ 81/85) and "B3" (Typ 89) from 1980 to 1988 and from 1988 to 1996, respectively. The first presentation of the car took place in March 1980 at the Paris Motor Show, and the Audi Coupe went on sale a few months later.
Exterior and interior
The exterior of the first generation Audi Coupe "B2" is designed in a more austere style with the presence of angular shapes. The front of the car is equipped with large headlights and an aerodynamic bumper with built-in additional optics, and the rear is topped with more modest lights and a spoiler. The modification of the Audi Coupe "B3" received a more streamlined and "muscular" shape, although there were no global changes in appearance.
The "B2" salon is quite modest, but spacious. Here we can highlight comfortable front seats with developed lateral support and a good layout of the driver’s workplace. The interior of the second generation "B3" is of higher quality and modern design. Among the advantages are the careful fitting of trim elements, sports seats and wood trim.
